Duncannon Plantation Wedding | New Years Eve | Cody & Ashleigh
One of my favorite things about photographing a wedding is photographing things candidly. Especially the bride and groom and the way they interact with each other. Fortunately for me, Cody and Ashleigh spent time with each other laughing and talking during their portraits and it turned out to be so sweet. Minimal posing and them two just taking the day in (rain and all). Ashleigh is my cousin and I have watched her and Cody grow together in their relationship for many years. I have always thought they were the perfect couple and knew they were meant to be. I never imagined I would get to photograph (& video) my own cousins wedding, but I did and it was so much fun. It rained, the whole day, and Ashleigh and Cody seriously didn't even notice. And if you know Ashleigh and the rest of my family, then you know it rained all day on Madeline's (Ashleigh's sister) wedding too. Talk about some serious good luck.
Ashleigh and Cody got married at First Baptist Church in Blackville, SC and then spent the rest of the evening celebrating their reception at their families venue, Duncannon Plantation. It is the most beautiful historic plantation home. Jack Newsome had everything decorated perfectly. I can't begin to imagine all the hard work everyone put in to this big day to make it what it was. Ashleigh had two lovely dresses to spend the day in. I love that she changed into a fun sparkly new years eve gown for their first dance and reception. These two truly know how to celebrate and I loved watching every minute of their day unfold. Enjoy just a small preview of their beautiful wedding below and we can't wait to share the video soon!!
