Chris & Maggie’s Wedding

There’s something really special about a wedding that takes place at home. Maggie and Chris chose to get married on Maggie’s family land, and it could not have been a more perfect fall day. From the moment you arrived, you could feel how meaningful this place was to them and to their families.

Their ceremony took place on Maggie’s grandparents’ front porch, tucked under the most beautiful magnolia trees. The magnolias hold a lot of significance for their family, which made the setting feel even more intentional. It wasn’t just pretty, it was personal in the best way.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered under a sailcloth tent surrounded by those same trees, golden fall light, and so much joy. The whole day felt relaxed, genuine, and full of people who truly love these two.

One of the most unforgettable moments was their first dance. Maggie’s cousin, who is a musician, wrote and performed their song live. You could feel the emotion in the room as it happened. It’s one of those moments that you just can’t recreate, and it made their day feel even more uniquely theirs.

Maggie and Chris are the kind of couple that make this job so easy. They are sweet, steady, and completely wrapped up in each other in the quietest, most genuine way. Every part of their day reflected that.

There were so many thoughtful details woven throughout their day, but what stood out the most was how intentional everything felt. Nothing was overdone, nothing felt forced. Just a beautiful celebration rooted in family, love, and a place that means everything to them.

Maggie and Chris, thank you for trusting me to capture such a meaningful day. It was truly an honor.
