Outer Banks Wedding | Allie & Ben | Destination Wedding Photographer

Wow, Allie and Ben... What a couple, what a wedding day! It's hard getting the words out for how awesome this wedding was. When I first got the email from Allie about possibly photographing her wedding in Outerbanks, NC I was so excited. OBX is dreamy and during this season, it was calm and peaceful. Allie and Ben rented a house on the beach and it made a perfect backdrop for the wedding day. It comfortably and conveniently held them and all of their immediate family. Allie and Ben had the ceremony and reception in the back yard. Since the beach was just over the dunes, it was super easy to take photos on the beach. Allie does lettering, illustration and design for paper goods, so of course, she made everything for her wedding. And man was it spectacular! She even personalized the invitation set with a sketch of their dog and an old fashioned sailing ship motif that she also included on their wax seal. This was inspired by Ben, who builds model ships as a hobby. Every little detail was so thought out and fun to look at. Another of my favorite decors from their wedding was the custom neon sign. 

Their details were certainly a pivotal part of the day but the primary thing seen by all in attendance was their love for one another. We could tell from when we arrived that they were eager to finally see one another and be pronounced husband and wife. Their joy of finally being married was contagious and it flowed through all in attendance. The reception was very much a celebration with food and dance. Everyone came around Allie and Ben with gladness and helped provide a wonderful conclusion to this special day.
